Great first purchase
Picked up this model to expand our X Wing fleet, and was looking for something a little different as we have the Force Awakens box. It's great that the original starter and the Force Awakens version are completely compatible, and Wedge was the first pilot to run this X Wing through its paces... He's a cool pilot and the pack comes with some nice upgrades as well. Highly recommend this model to anyone looking to branch out from the starter set.

Wedge!
This expansion provides the same X-Wing miniature model you receive in the Core Set. However it adds a couple of unique pilot cards in Garven Dreis and Wedge Antilles. Garven allows you to "spend" a focus token by transferring it to a friendly ship within Range 1-2, and Wedge reduces the defender's agility value by 1! Both of these are fantastic abilities that will help your Rebel squad gain the edge over those Imperials!

The workhorse of the Rebel Alliance
The X-Wing is a fantastic ship that is only continuing to get better as this wonderful game expands. Most notably, Wedge Antilles is one of the best pilots for the X-Wing, with a powerfully aggressive pilot ability. For larger point games, Garven Dreis is a fantastic synergy pilot, passing along his used focus tokens.

Swarm
Admittedly the X-Wing is not that good on its own. However its durability makes it an excellent swarm ship. Biggs is also very useful as a body shield and paired with an R2 unit can protect your more powerful ships for quite a while.

Classic Staple of the Rebellion - a lot of fun to play
The x-wing fighter expansion is definitely a must own for your squadrons if you play rebels! Great little ships and wedge is an awesome pilot to play. Haven't gotten to see how well they compare to the new Resistance x-wings yet but these ships will always have a niche in the game. Can't go wrong getting three or four of these ones!

Fallen to the side in Tournament play, but a staple of Rebel squad building nonetheless.
The model as usual is high quality, so let's jump into the gameplay. As of Wave 3 of the expansions, the X-Wing has been outclassed in a jousting role by the B-Wing. Overcosted by a few squad points, Generic X-Wing pilots see limited use, although the named pilots in this expansion such as Wedge Antilles are powerhouses all on their own. When running X-Wings, be sure to check with veterans to make sure that your build couldnt be done more efficiently with other pilots or upgrades.

If you just want to play casual, ignore what i said above. X-Wings are still a staple of the Rebel squad, and a lot of times if you've got the points, a good X-Wing can't do you wrong.

The classic!
Ah, the venerable X-wing. Hey, the game is named after this ship, so you can't go wrong with it!

The model is beautiful. As for in-game use, hey, it's as dependable as the come. Good damage capability with good hull and shields. Stick Luke and R2-D2 on one and you're set.

Or buy 6 of them and have a swarm ;-)

Seeing its age
I know there are things coming out that will help out the old x-wing, but this ship is past its prime currently. It's a decent ship, but if you have the starter as it stands I would purchase some b-wings or a-wings if you're a rebel player, you'll get a lot more play out of them.

Great All Around Ship
Had to order a third one of these. After all, the game is called X-Wing! This ship is just an all around good fighter. The use of astromechs can provide some really good tweaks. Hull + shields means that you're going to last longer and also filter those critical hits.

good addition to the original core set
There are unique pilots included in this set that are not in the core set, as well as some unique astromechs, so this is definitely a great item to add to the core set. There is also an x-wing included in the Rebel Transport box, with more unique pilots and droids. I would recommend picking up one of each, which gives you many pilot and droid options, and 3 named x-wing pilots with some upgrades can easily make a standard point list.

One Reason to Buy: Wedge
If you are considering this expansion, that means you already have purchased the X-Wing Miniatures Game Core Set by FFG. While most of the load-outs/upgrades are duplicates found already in the core set, there is the not-so-small benefit in that you get one of the best Rebel pilots in the game: Wedge Antilles. Measuring in at Pilot Skill 9, Wedge will almost always give your squad the initiative in combat (except for Vader!).

Yes, there is some repetition in cards - but you do get the extra X-Wing mini to field without having to purchase a whole new core set ... which you would have all duplicates. Besides, buying two of these expansions means you can fly a Luke-Biggs-Wedge squad for nostalgia's sake.

Needs A Little Developer Love
The T65 X-Wing is the title ship of the X-Wing Miniatures game. Its an unfortunate truth that the X-Wing is currently one of the less commonly flown ships in the competitive world of the game. This is mainly due to the B-Wing's generic pilots being a more cost efficient option than the X-wing Generic pilots. That being said, the model is top notch, and the named pilots are pretty decent, so the ship still has value.

First off, the model is of great craftsman ship. Both the sculpt and the paint job are of excellent quality.

Second, some of the named Pilots of the X-Wing are still capable. Wedge, Garven, Luke, and Biggs (the later of the two come with the core set) are all decent options.

The Force Awakened Core set has released an updated ship, the X-Wing T70 which is a much better ship. The game developers have stated that they understand that the original T65 is in need of a boost, but we are still waiting for an upgrade that makes them as good as the other ships (Written as of wave 8).

Red Two, standing by
X-Wings are a staple of the game. I mean, it's in the title. But they don't get a lot of love lately (though the Force Awakens cards might help out a bit). But this pack has Wedge Antilles, one of the deadliest pilots in galaxy and an awesome addition to the table.

A Solid Expansion
Another good expansion pack. The Wedge Antilles pilot card and the X-Wing mini alone make the expansion worthwhile. But you also receive a bunch of upgrades for X-Wings. If you enjoy playing the Rebel Alliance, Wedge is almost a required pilot.

Wedge Antilles!!!
Great purchase after buying the core set especially if you're a rebel player. It contains Wedge Antilles who is the only rebel pilot to survive both attack runs on the Death Star. He has a pilot skill of 9 and reduces the defender's agility value by 1 making him by far the best x-wing pilot.

Drive a Wedge Between The Opposition
Let's face it. While this expansion adds some good stuff, you really get this for Wedge. He's the MAN and a pain to fly against, especially with R2D2 from the core set.

You have the Core Set, now you need this.
While Luke is a great pilot to have, once you have an X-Wing you'll need the best pilot the game has to offer, Wedge! This set also comes with a lot of upgrades that any X-Wing will need, plus cards that other ships will need to, such as the astromechs for Y-Wings and E-Wings.

A staple of the Rebel fleet
The primary fighter of the Rebel Alliance, the X-Wing is good, straightforward little ship. Adding another T-65 (or more) to your squadron gives you some good options,.

The quality of such a small ship is impressive, though it would be nice if the paint could have been at least slightly different than the one in the core game.

The price is on par with all of the small ship expansions.

This ship comes with some excellent pilot cards, including the only pilot to have gone up against two Death Stars and lived to brag about it. Wedge!

All in all, certainly worth picking up.
