Gen Con Wrap Up
Why We Game

Plan, build, and develop a small town into a major metropolis. Use hex-shaped building tiles to add residential, commercial, civic, and industrial areas, as well as special points of interest that provide benefits and take advantage of the resources of nearby towns. Your goal is to have your borough thrive and end up with a greater population than any of your opponents.

Suburbia is a tile-laying game in which each player tries to build up an economic engine and infrastructure that will be initially self-sufficient, and eventually become both profitable and encourage population growth. As your town grows, you'll modify both your income and your reputation. As your income increases, you'll have more cash on hand to purchase better and more valuable buildings, such as an international airport or a high rise office building. As your reputation increases, you'll gain more and more population (and the winner at the end of the game is the player with the largest population).

During each game, players compete for several unique goals that offer an additional population boost - and the buildings available in each game vary, so you'll never play the same game twice!

Smooth City Building
A very streamlined economic tile laying game. Very slick income and reputation system, which also acts as a catch up mechanism keeps you constantly adapting to keep up with the demands of your city. Very satisfying combos can be made with careful planning. Plays best at 3 in my opinion.

Mensa Select Winner
Mensa is a group that selects games and toys that they feel inspire the most amount thinking and growth. If chess was a new game, it would be a Mensa Select Winner. Their choices are simple games that most people can understand but which even the most adept and capable will spend their lifetime learning and improving at the game.

Suburbia is in every way worthy of the award. There's a good reason why everyone so far has put a full 5-star rating. This game is excellent! Everyone I've played with enjoys it. I've had more first-time players win when I've been playing than I've ever won. Something about the game is intuitive and easy, yet challenging and difficult, even for the most capable players like myself.

If you don't own it, you should. It will be worth every penny and much more.

SIM CITY Board Game
Loved Sim City growing up and this game fills that childhood memory. I appreciate the what to do after you place a piece board, because points can come from many differnet places. My only grief, which is found with more than this game, is the set up time. They provide information in the manual, but it is not an easy to find chart. Please overlook this small flaw, because this game is FUN with 2 players.

Excellent!
This is a pretty easy game to learn and was a lot of fun playing. I like the Sim qualities from the computer to the board. It plays well and very intuitive. If you enjoyed Sim City you'll enjoy this game.

Great game, plenty of replay value
It is build your city the way you want. Not all tiles are in play, so each game is different. Much balance your reputation(victory points) and your income in order to win. You must keep in mind to accomplish both the COMMON GOALS of each borough(your neighborhood) and your SPECIFIC GOAL in order to win. EXCELLENT GAME, Great price. lots of replay value that does not get old. Try to score 100 points!!!!
