Thunder Jack
This was my first battlegroup and I love it so much. Cygnar is the main region in the history of Warmachine/Hordes. They focus on the range attacks and their stats are very good.

Cygnar Blues
This is the perfect box for your first unit. It has the basics and is really a nice starting point. If you fall in love with Cygnar then think about moving up to the army box.

Excellent Cygnar Starting Point
So you want to try out Warmachine and Cygnar has taken your eye? Well you are in luck the Cygnar Battlegroup Box is an excellent starting point for trying out Cygnar and Warmachine.

Included in the box are 3 Warjacks and one Warcaster. The Warjacks included are the Lancer, Charger, and Ironclad. The included Warcaster is Commander Coleman Stryker. Lastly there is a quick start set of rules. Each jack is useful for highlighting an aspect of the game. The Ironclad provides melee fighting, Charger focuses on shooting, and the Lancer provides an Arc Node for spell slinging. Commander Stryker is a great starting Warcaster with good physical stats and a great supply of spells.

All of the models included are plastic, unpainted, and unassembled. This may bring pause to those new to miniature gaming. Rest assured assembly is easy as long as you have an hobby knife an some super glue. If assembly proves a challenge they're many videos on YouTube that will help you out. By being unassembled you can customize the arm, leg, and hand positions so that each model is unique compared to anyone else's. Painting models is optional at all levels of play except the national tournament scene, so there isn't any need to paint anything unless you want to.

If your Battlegroup Box happens to be missing a part visit www.privateerpress.com and replacement parts are available, free, and arrives for free in less than two weeks. Privateer just made the the full rule set available for free online so there's even less money to spend for a new gamer.

Finally the value of this particular product is amazing. To buy all of the included models separately it would cost over $60. Buying the Battlegroup provides a savings around 33%.
