The Rhulic pirate Lord Joln Rockbottom is Captain Shae's 'Expedition Financier.' He ensures the pirates are well paid and equipped for the bloody work ahead. Coin is not his only weapon, for Lord Rockbottom enjoys employing a fire-belching firearm that has ended the lives of many who underestimated him.

Coins Are The Way To Go
Rockbottom allows you to hand out tough, boost attacks, and pass command checks. He's a key part of the "pirate boat" where all the solos combine to make the sea dog crew from a "meh" unit into one of the deadliest and toughest in the game.

Coins are better than an ability, because they don't count as an action, he can just do them. And he can hand out more than 1 buff per turn if you've got extra units that need buffing.

Sadly his buffs don't work on Rhulic models too, or he'd be even more amazing with dwarves. His use in a Searforge list is just to automatically pass command checks with his coin ability. Far from useless.

Lord Rockbottom Gives you a Top Dollar Model at Rockbottom Prices!
Lord Rockbottom might not look much with his peg leg and goofy hat but he's essential in running a Pirate list. He is a must have if you plan on taking The Sea Dog Boarding Crew "Pirate Ball" list. What makes him so good? His versatility. Lord Rockbottom starts with 5 coins which he can use to give bonuses to the Pirates in his command area. The most often used one is "Walk it Off" which gives an entire Sea Dog Boarding Crew "Tough" which is basically a 5+ saving throw.

If you don't plan on using the "Pirate Ball" he is still viable with his awesome Spray weapon. If he aims he can take out a group of stealth'ed enemies like Bane Thralls or Kayazy Assassins. He can also use one of his coins to make sure your unit passes a command check which could mean the game for you especially at higher levels of play.

Defintiely recommend him. Great value!
