Mythic Adventure Awaits!

For decades, hordes of demons have ruled the Worldwound. Their Abyssal corruption has poisoned the land. Previous crusades did their best to contain the demonic invasion with the invaluable aid of a line of fortifications enhanced with magical wardstones. Yet of late, many of the crusaders have become complacent or simply fatigued from an endless war, while all along, the foul masterminds of the demonic invasion have built a deadly plan. They want to expand the Worldwound's Abyssal corruption past the wardstones and spread their evil across the entire world!

Whether you're a stalwart crusader or a simple mercenary, the Storm King's profane machinations will soon surround you. The time has come to live up to your true mythic potential and become a legendary hero in the world of Golarion! In an adventure unlike any other, the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Wrath of the Righteous Base Set will take you into the depths of the Abyss - and back again! This complete cooperative strategy game pits 1 to 4 heroes against the monsters, temptations, corruption, and treachery of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game's popular Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Path. Choose your character's class, build a deck of equipment and allies, and explore dangerous locations as you play through multiple scenarios in an exhilarating mythic fantasy adventure. Characters grow in potency and potential, learning expert skills, gaining magical might, and adding powerful boons to their decks. All of this will prepare them to surmount greater obstacles through a complete Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Adventure Path.

An awesome game, that can get confusing
The Pathfinder Adventure Card Games are a great bunch of games. The replayability is high. The customization is nearly limitless (with adventure and character add-on packs). The game play can become very immersive. All in all, they are great games. The only draw back is the rule book. Some of the rules are confusing when first read and some things seem outright omitted. However, board game geek and various youtube videos help clarify the rules a bit better.

Amazingly fun game..... but
So first, let's talk about Paizo in general. Piazo is an amazing company with excellent customer service that produces excellent products and content. However, many of Paizo's products are printed on poor quality substrate and editing errors tend to be rampant.

This is true of their Wrath of the Righteous (WotR) Adventure Card Game as well. I have found myself cross-referencing the rule book countless times and a lot of the confusion comes from the way something is worded or improperly edited on a card. Additionally, I have had to invest in card protectors for the 1,210ish cards that make up the entire set. I am not opposed to this, but I am a little disappointed
that the cards were showing wear the first time running through the adventure path. Finally, the base set includes a plastic insert. From what I understand, this is essentially useless if you put your cards in sleeves because the entire set will no longer fit into the tray.

Overall though, this game is amazing and worth the price of admission. I was originally concerned with replayability but after completing 4/6 of the entire game I am looking forward to trying some of the other classes. As I stated above, I recommend investing in some card sleeves

Unexpectedly great game
As someone who is not into RPGs I was surprised how much I enjoyed this game! Complete quests by exploring locations to loot and battle the baddies, build up your deck and your character and hope to keep it all by staying alive!
