Betrayal at House on the Hill (2nd Edition)

Product Review (submitted on May 20, 2013):
This game has sweet replayability and a great system!
You start the game as little adventurers walking through a creepy old mansion. Each turn you can move into a new room and see what's inside. You could find an item card, an omen card, or an event card. The item cards are universally good. The event cards are just that, an event. You read the card and work through the scenario (maybe you saw a ghost and have to make a roll to see if you escape its clutches or you walk into a spider web and must roll to escape its clutches). The omen cards are items that cause you to do a haunt roll. The haunt roll determines when the second, awesomest, part of the game occurs. When the second part, called "the Haunt" begins, someone turns traitor. The specific omen card and room where the card was found determines which haunt you will play and who the traitor is (some have secret/hidden traitors though!). The traitor then sneaks off to read about their new role and rules and the remaining heroes read theirs. Whoever completes their objectives first wins. Each of the dozens of different scenarios is exciting for both sides and offers a challenge. The game proceeds quickly to its, often bloody and exciting, conclusion! Are you going to face vampires? A witch who turns heroes into frogs for frog leg stew? Zombies? Cannibals?! Don't pass this game up!
