If you are running a Winter Guard unit, this Unit Attachment (UA) is a handy addition. Not only does it get you an officer with slightly better stats and extra bodies on the field, but it gets you access to Combined Melee attacks, boosted Defense, and Spray attacks with the Winter Guard unit to which they are attached. On its own, the UA nicely improves the capabilities of the Winter Guard Infantry.

Pairing the Winter Guard Infantry + UA with Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich is a tactic known as the Winter Guard Death Star. They get increased defense or improved offensive abilities for ranged and melee. Put the WGDS in an army with an infantry supporting Warcaster and you have a mass of bodies that can put out a surprising amount of damage and cause headaches for your opponents.
