Caverna: The Cave Farmers

Although I do love Agricola, I own it too, I like Caverna much better. I think this worker placement game by Uwe Rosenberg has a much more cleaned up and refined taste compared to his earlier games.

I love the tiles in this game compared to the cards in Agricola because it is much more simple and everyone gets to choose from the same ones. This does add up in set up time though which is a bit of a pain.

I think this one plays great with 4 players and all the way down to solo. I like that the number of players diversifies or simplifies the player choices in game play. Wouldn't do this with bigger groups because it would take so long to sit through even though it plays up to 7!

If you like Agricola but feel like the number of choices are too overwhelming you'll love this more balanced structure. Must have.
