D&D Icons of the Realms Miniatures: Rage of Demons - Booster Case (32)

Product Review (submitted on September 19, 2015):
Overall, I think this could have been one of the best sets produced in terms of the miniatures that it produced, and their use on the game table. Additionally, I liked most of the miniatures on an individual basis, as I have a love for Drow. However, this is my beef:

I think missing 8 rares in one case is too many. If you do the math, and you consider all 55 miniatures in the set a complete set, then it would literary take you 2 Booster Cases and at least one other Brick (9 Bricks Total) to get the entire set, and that is only if you are lucky to get all the rares that you need in those 9 bricks (which is no guarantee). At least 9 bricks, and in all honesty, it would probably take more if you elect to go the blind booster route, will cost at least 800 plus dollars. Now, if you elect to go the single figure route, you might do a tad better, and if this is what D&D or Wizkids want, then I will likely protest buying their miniatures.

One of the fun things, for me, is buying a blind booster and seeing what I get. I don't mind not getting all of the miniatures in a set in a booster, however, missing 8 of them is too many. Here is my suggestion:

I believe that only one of the Shadowed larges should be missing, two of the invisible, and one large, and one medium. That's only 5 missing figures, which means, if I wanted to get them, I could. Chances are, if you are like me, you want need to complete the invisibles, and you "may" want the shadowed large, and the other two rares, and if that is the case, forking over the cash to get those isn't that much of a big deal. All in all, it would cost you about 400 to 450 bucks for a complete set.

In my set, I didn't get the shadowed beholder, the invisible blink dog, and the invisible mind flayer. I also did not get the Red Dracolich, The mind flayer lich, the gnoll, the bugbear, and xorn. If I had just got three of the four mediums, I would likely have been satisfied with the set, and forked over cast to get the Dracolich. I really want the gnoll, bugbear, and mind flayer lich, and if those were one of the ones I didn't get (if only five were missing, I would likely pay for one of those as well.

Key word is ONE of those. I'm not spending a another dime on the ones I'm missing strictly out of protest and stubbornness because I feel that 8 missing rares is way too many for 300 dollars.
