Bang! The Dice Game

Clever, well-designed game... I love the different characters you can be, with their backstories and unique powers. I love that it doesn't shrug the theme and shy away from the racism/tropes of the time. I love the colorful dice and tokens.
But, the main part of the intrigue seems to be the Mafia/Werewolf/Resistance who's-who mystery the game relies on. That was the only mechanic I felt fell short. You know who the sheriff is, and within a few turns, you know who everyone else is. So, it wasn't an addition to the fun like it should have been. I'm not sure how you would fix it. I'm glad it's on my shelf as an 8 player party warm-up, but I will much sooner be grabbing Mascarade or Resistance to accomplish the same task with simpler rules and more of that fun intrigue.
