D&D 5E RPG: Player's Handbook (Hardcover)

This is a vast improvement over the previous edition, if you are looking for more "role" and less "roll" in your roleplaying. I personally lean towards more indie and narrative RPGs, but I can enjoy this edition on a certain level. Like most RPGs you have to know what you are buying. This game is well designed to do "Dungeon Style" adventures with light RP mechanics. If that is the style of game you like, you will be very pleased. If you are looking to go outside that mold and play a more political or RP heavy game, this might feel a little lacking, because this was not the author's intent.
