My son and I began playing Battle Cry about a year ago. While my son would be considered a gamer, I rarely play games. However, the WWII theme appealed to me, so my wife bought this game for me for Christmas. My son and I have played almost everyday since opening the box. I am already looking at the expansions. Since the mechanics of both BC and MM 44 are based off the Command and Colors mechanics, it was easy to pick up and start playing right away. I have heard that hard-core wargammers enjoy this game even though it does not have the same type of strategy as traditional wargames. I think it is perfect for those that don't want to play a 2-3 hour game. My only negative is that I waited so long to try this game, since some of the expansions are out of print or are hard to find. I would recommend this game to anyone with an interest in military history.
