The Resistance (3rd Edition)

The Resistance (3rd Edition)

Product Review (submitted on August 14, 2017):
Can you really trust your neighbor? The woman you love? Your best friend? Probably not...They're all spies. The game feeds your paranoia, and the more you play the more paranoid you become. The game favors the spies (who by the rules know who each other are) and can be mitigated by keeping the spies secret. With the ability to play with up to 10 it's a lot of fun trying to deduce who you can and cannot trust and ultimately hope you make the right call. Play is broken down by team selection where you choose a team and vote on it with a simple majority, if there are 5 failed votes the game is lost and the spies win. Then anyone on the mission selects a success or a failure. resistance members may only select success, while spies can choose success or fail. This allows spies to gain your trust and keep people guessing. The only problem is the cards can wear out so it's easier to tell who is a spy or resistance member or who voted fail on a mission as the cards are used. It would almost work better with tiles in a bag.
