Action token mechanic is awful. You guess where to put an action token to search. Run out of tokens, grab a doom card and get flavor text and more tokens. Puzzles are absolutely awful. I would bet my SOUL that everyone is cheating. They present to you cards with cryptic stuff on them with no instructions on what they want. Symbols, numbers, a word, letters???? The hints give you much needed instructions on what you are even attempting to do. Even then the puzzles are only even guessable at what they want when you know the answer. One puzzle was super easy, one was ok, the rest were table flipping rage. I can only guess that the designers do not speak English and they just crammed in puzzles to a narrative. Puzzles that usually have instructions but they couldn't think of how to put the instructions into the narrative so that made them hints. Waste of time and waste of materials. This is a kickstarter scam imo. Nobody can figure these out. Nobody because you don't know the rules behind figuring them out. Im trying to finish it, I'm a good way through, but I don't think I can put up with the stress of it. I've dealt with puzzles since the 80's, love mysteries, played escape rooms, escape room games, and never EVER have I seen anything like this. I cannot believe that reviewers were too afraid of people thinking they were stupid to review this correctly.
