Dark Heaven Legends is the premier 25mm Heroic Scale fantasy line for miniature painters, roleplayers and wargamers. The Dark Heaven line has produced over 1,300 fantasy miniatures designed and crafted by the top miniatures sculptors in the world.

The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Bones minis are great.
This model is chock-full of potential. Unit filler for a mass battle fantasy game like Warhammer Fantasy Battles or Kings of War? Check. Dungeon terrain for D&D, Call of Cthulhu, or another RPG? Check. Use with other Bones terrain to build a diorama display board for your evil army? Check. Objective marker? Check. Sacrificial altar for small animals? Well, no, and you really shouldn't be doing that anyway.

This model is preassembled from two pieces, and the back is rounded such that mounting it flush with a wall would require some careful slicing and trimming, but the back also has a nice stone texture and it really deserves to be freestanding. the medusa head is also nicely sculpted, as is the rest of the model. Mine will require some slight straightening via a dunk into hot water, but that's par for the course with Bones, and not really an issue. Mold lines are almost nonexistent, so cleanup prior to painting is almost unnecessary.
