The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

- Great Fangly Beast!
The Bones material is great for large monsters like this, and Mashaaf is no exception. The model comes in six parts--main body, front portion with maw, two arms with talons, mouth/tentacles, and the base. Everything slots together easily, though my base needed a little coercion to fit right. Remember, Bones models can be reshaped a little bit with hot (nearly boiling) water. You may have to fill some slight gaps, especially where the two body portions come together, but no more than one should expect with a large critter like this.
Mashaaf towers over poor 28mm models, with her claws stretching into the 4.5" range. She's curled around a bit and measures nearly 5" wide with base and tail, so you'll need some room for her lair. This beastie could easily swallow a humanoid figure whole.
Mashaaf is one of my favorite big nasty monsters from the Bones 2 kickstarter, and if you missed out, I highly recommend picking one up to terrorize your players :D
