Untold wonders await within dangerous jungles, harsh deserts, and wind-swept mountains. Will you gain a reputation as the most intrepid and famous adventurer of all time?

In Artifacts, Inc., 2-4 players compete to grow the most famous archaeology company. Players roll dice, which represent their troop of adventurers, and place them on cards in order to find artifacts, sell them to museums, and purchase new cards representing their company assets. Players can choose to focus on making lots of money by selling artifacts, having museum majorities, creating the best combination of expeditions and buildings, or searching below the waves for lost cities and hidden treasures. The first player to reach 20 reputation triggers the end of the game, and the player with the most total reputation wins!

Wheres the dinosaur bones?
Ok game. The components are overwhelming, the dice are super tiny, and the central scoring track is made up of a thin sheet of paper. If you can get past of that then this is just an ok filler type. The archeology theme within this game doesn't really transcend. Each player is in a race to sell artifacts, scrolls, and produce expeditions to ultimately make money to then spend on inventory (more cards) of various forms. So if you're into heavy economic games then this might be right for you.

A fun game but lacks player to player interaction
This is a fun dice rolling game, it has good speed and has a moderate level of complexity. Players roll dice and then allocate each die to a specific action. Early game players try to make money to buy limited cards that afford them more actions/ flexibility. There are multiple paths to victory and you have to compete for "sale locations" to get the points to win the game. It can feel like "multiple player solitaire".
NOTE: BUY SOME EXTRA D6 WITH THIS GAME YOU WILL NEED THEM. The small ones from chessex are best.

Begin the dig!
Artifacts Inc once again shows the pedigree behind Red Raven Games standards. You start out with 3 explorers (dice) and a few simple actions. You roll dice and can activate cards by placing the corresponding rolls to those areas. For example, you can dig for fossils on a 1 and/or any die of 3 or higher. So if you rolled a 2, 5, and 1, you could place the 1 on the 1 spot getting a fossil, and then the 5 on the 3+ spot for a total of 2.
The reason you are acquiring these items is to sell them for profit to get better teams, areas to explore and more. You can delve below aquatic ruins to discover additional artifacts. You can become the greatest donator of museums to warrant a higher bonus to your score at the end of the game. Why not hire an archeologist to increase your team dice pool? You can even upgrade cards for a cost and flip them for stronger bonuses, more victory points and greater effects.
Lots of variety, beautiful art and massive replay factor await you in this box. The price is perfect and the enjoyment is second to none. I cannot recommend this game enough.

Excellent game for its' size
This game has much depth and complexity for its' size while not requiring a lot of play time per session. The art is quite beautiful, as is Red Raven's Above and Below. The quality of the point tracking card could be better as it's a bit flimsy and could tear easily. Depending on how the game progresses, you may need additional cubes especially for tracking the sale of artifacts.
