Great game for family and friends.
It is a great game. My young kids learned the rules quickly. If you like rpg games, but want one that is simple and fun then this is the game for you. The minis are good quality. Only drawback is they have to be assembled, but at this price it is a great deal.

best.game.ever.
this game is, in essence, an old school style game that takes much of its gameplay from an older viddeo game called gauntlet. The object of the game is to defeat the villian (played by one of the players) by eliminating as many spawn points that monsters come from before the villian player can release his boss who is, in the starter, a dragon named starfire. there are also two mini bosses who are very cool as well! My experience with this game is highly enjoyable and i recomend this one to anyone who likes to have fun! assembly was easy except of course the dragon. i had fun painting them too! In closing... if you enjoy old style games and like the thought of customizing paint jobs on your game peices (i made my hexcast sorcerress have a candyland style look!) then PLEASE buy this game! BTW Miniature market has it at the best price ive seen it usually costs $100 new from other sites.

A Great Game
My family and I almost did not get this game because we have D&D, The Legend of Drizzt. But we did get it. Both games are dungeon crawlers, but with SDE one player controls the monsters, so both games feel very different. D&D monsters can be a little more difficult and random, it is a very unforgiving game. SDE monsters are lighter and easier, but since a human controls the monsters it is just as difficult, although in a different way. SDE is a great game that the family enjoys (our children are 6 and up enjoy playing!)

Fun game to have
At the special price, way worth it!!.
Miniatures are easy to put together (except the Dragon), could've just been me also.
I am a tabletop Gamer. So the models had little flashing but were nicely detailed and mostly clean; a bit of Oil on the larger models, most likely to get them out of the molds but that is common. You just have to wash them if you are painting them.

Glorious good fun!
This one's a gem! Not only are all of the miniatures extremely cool and thematic, but they're very high quality as well if you like to paint them. The rules are a bit fuzzy on a few things and allude heavily to future expansions, but this game is tons of fun and the videogame theme is both novel and engaging. Best of all I think is that it's just as fun to play the Consul (the dungeon critters, miniboss and boss) as the heroes. Though it's a lighthearted game it's plenty deep enough to be rewarding, and with multiple players teamwork is heavily encouraged which makes for great friendly play with a few friends. The different game modes (8bit, 16bit, and Super!) work well for adjusting playing time which can run from an hour or so to several, depending on your taste. If you are the least bit nostalgic about old 8bit dungeon crawlers, or just need a new cooperative game, I heartily recommend Super Dungeon Explore, it's a blast.

And it's on Clearance! Trust me, it was worth it for a bill when I bought it, and for half price you just can't lose. Jump on it!
