This one's a bit special. It's the third book in the Catalogue of Chaos series, and honestly, it probably shouldn't exist - but a whole bunch of brilliant, slightly unhinged people decided otherwise. That's you lot. Everyone listed below helped make this thing real, and we're genuinely grateful (and slightly concerned).
Inside, you'll find 35 new magic items. Some are useful. Some are terrible. A few are both at the same time, which is really the sweet spot we aim for. There's no grand design to it - just the sort of magical chaos that makes your players stare at their character sheets in horror while the DM quietly laughs into their sleeve.
As with all our editions, there are a few items in here that are completely exclusive to this book. They won't be in any future hardbacks. They won't be reprinted. Once this print run's done, that's it. Gone. Lost to time. Or eBay, probably. We've come a long way since Edition 1. The idea was always simple: give DMs the kind of magic items that create
memorable moments. Not balanced ones. Not sensible ones. Just the sort that get talked about weeks later with the phrase, "I still don't know why you picked it up."
This book is part of a growing mess that'll eventually become a full hardback - 100 items per volume, more lore, more art, more ways to accidentally summon something you really shouldn't. But for now, Edition 3 stands as proof that chaos is alive and well at your table.
