The Elder Ones wield influence over familiar realms populated by nations speaking human tongues and haunted by shared nightmares. Across one such reality, amidst America's Great Depression, they exploit human greed to sow discord and division. Corruption runs rampant in influential cities, where alliances shift and betrayal lurks at every turn.

Cthulhu: Dark Providence is a competitive board game where players are secretly divided into different sides of a conflict over the destiny of a nation on the brink of ruin. Players use their influence to id for the right to claim assets, take control of cities, and consort with powerful Mythos entities. To maintain their sanity and secrecy, players perform various actions such as recruiting agents, eliminating rivals, blocking opponents, and closing and opening gates to otherworldly dimensions to advance their agenda and earn points. Despite being divided into opposing sides, only the player with the highest score from the leading faction will achieve victory and shape the fate of the nation!
