What do you associate with "souvenir" and "pizza"? "Rome," perhaps? In One Round?, each card fits into a specific space in the word circle. Think of a good clue that will help your group place the card in the right space. Will you manage to place all the cards and complete the circle?
Designed by Tobias Tesar, One Round? can be enjoyed by pairs or large groups of up to 12 players, ages 8 and up, in games lasting about 15 minutes. This party game, which challenges us to place concepts in their corresponding spaces, can be played cooperatively or in teams. It also includes a booklet of challenges that you can tackle as a group.
Learning to play One Round? is very easy. To begin, place the 3 starting cards (marked with the numbers 100/0, 33, and 66) in the center of the table, forming a circle. Next, the players write a starting word on each of these cards, place 12 cards in the center of the circle, and prepare the hourglass and 3 life tokens. Everything is ready to play!
Now, one player takes on the role of the informant and draws the top card from the central deck. They look at the number on the card and must give a clue so that the rest of their team can place the new card between two others already in the center of the table. The informant has a time limit to do this. If the team guesses correctly, the game continues with a new informant. If they guess incorrectly, the game continues, but they lose one of their 3 lives. As the game progresses, the challenge becomes more difficult because more concepts and number ranges are involved. Finding good clues will be key to successfully placing all the cards.
