In West German Service - The heavy firepower of the reconnaissance company is provided by the M41 light tanks of the heavy scout troops (Schwere Spähtrupp) armed with 76mm guns. The company has four heavy troops, each equipped with two M41 light tanks and a SPz 11-2 Kurz. One of these troops is used by the company commander in combat.
In ARVN Service ('Nam) - Given the Republic of Vietnam's limited technical capabilities, the American M41 Walker Bulldog light tank was well suited to the war in South Vietnam. They were armed and armoured well enough to deal with most Viet Cong forces, while being easy to maintain.
