Build Your Perfect Beach
In Santa Monica, you are trying to create the most appealing neighborhood in Southern California. Will you choose to create a calm, quiet beach focusing on nature, a bustling beach full of tourists, or something in between to appeal to the locals?
Each turn, you will draft a feature card from the display to build up either your beach or your street. These features work together to score your victory points. The player with the most points wins!

A delightful experience.
Its whimsical. Its pleasant. Its strategic. Its a game that deserves a lot of love. I played over 50 times. It doesn't get old. Can be easily played with a soul mate. I like it a lot! What I dislike about this game: the box is too big for a game that is basically a deck of cards with some meeples. Moving all meeples to the places where they belong can be a bit too hard.

Weeknight Game! Loved it before we even got it
Just watching a review or two on this game and we were sold. The beach-y theme is always a winner for us. That simple drafting mechanism with easy-to-understand choices and gameplay makes this an excellent Weeknight Game.

Take that stroll Brah!
This game is more fun than it should be. Point salad, easy rule set, and fun theme. It is one of those games where you are proud of the thing being made (in this case your pier) ala Castles of Mad King Ludwig. The artwork is whimsical and the game is very easy to teach.

Charming, simple fun.
Gaming with non gamers is very difficult. A game has to be simple to teach but not be a simple game. This game is easy to set up and to start playing and yet is challanging. This like cat lady - but Santa Monica is much bettter,
