Army Painter: Battlefield Snow (150ml)

It needs a bit of volume under it to make it more like fresh snow. PVA dries way too flat

I’ve tried other methods to get snow on my mini’s bases, but this just works the best.

The quality of the AP Snow is fine, but I don't think the effect it makes is as good as other effects like GW Vahallan Blizzard. The texture remains grainy and seems out of scale to 28/32mm minis. But if you need to cover a lot of terrain, it's a good budget to volume choice.

I’m currently running Dungeons and Dragons Rime of the Frost Maiden and as a gift for my players I painted a few models. This snow brought it to a new level. I used Elmer’s Glue-All (avoid “school” as it washes away with water easier) and after a night it kept a healthy coating of snow. All you need to apply this is PVA glue, if you’re doing snow based minis don’t skip on this!

Fine grain. Good basing material for W40K, and can also be used for any generic ice or snow based terrain.

Wanted to try it out and not too bad for what I wanted it for. Probably could do a lot more cheaper product but I haven’t had any issues with The Army Painter line so far.

Great for bases or dioramas!

Decent product. It is a nice fine grain, bright white, came sealed and properly packaged. My only pain point is the price to quantity ratio. This stuff is very simple and basic for what you get, it's comparable to baking soda. Great for applying for effects on a model or when you're looking for the low effort snow route, but not the most cost effective. Great product for what it is if you're needing fast and effortless. 4 stars from me in terms of cost and quantity, it goes quick if used for basing.
