Warpaint: Metallic - Azure Magic (18ml)

I'd picked up about a dozen Citadels paints when I first started painting miniatures, before friends pushed me towards trying Army Painter. Given their prices (aspecially if you compare them to GW) grabbing a bottle or two to try is a sensible thing to do. After trying some of it, I don't see any noticable different in quality between the two. Adding mixing balls is an absolute must with AP, but that is more than made up for by the dropping bottle (definitely going to save on the amount of paint used/spilled in the long run). I haven't had a chance to try this specific color (Azure Magic), but I've been working with their colored metalllics a lot recently with painting Battletech Mechs, though I expect to use them on 40K armour as well. Very happy with them. In hindsight, I wished I'd just picked up the box set of all their colored metallics, but I've bought enough singles that it doesn't make sense for me. That's the only reason I suggest not buying this, consider getting the full set of colored metallics. Great thing about AP is that you can pick one bottle of a given line (main, airbrush, metallics, colored metallics, even speedpaints), and whether it works great and you buy a set of them or they aren't great for you, it's such a small price it doesn't matter.

I don't even know when I'm going to use this color but it was so distinctive and so visually interesting I had a to try it. Maybe the Collector in me? Lol I ABSOLUTELY FREAKING LOVE THIS PAINT. The time I spent looking up color tests and reviews was worth it. Gorgeous color, so smooth, beautiful, eye catching and surprisingly pigmented.

This is easily my favorite paint to use to create a piece that stands out. I usually use it to show a magical quality to an item, but it's also perfect for a light character's armor. Highly recommend this to be in any painter's arsenal
