Both expansions add a small variation to the base game. Played together they really provide the extra options and strategic changes to make it more fun. The rules say to add 2 dinos of each for each player, but to make it a little harder we keep all the dinos in the bag.

Despite some issues with the inconsistent size of the board, what you get in terms of the bonus mechanics is more than worth it.

I feel this expansion and the Marina could have been included in the Base game and maybe there will be a one-stop box in the future. However, overall adds to the game in a welcoming way and who doesn't want more dinos and flying ones at-that.

Not sure its a necessary expansion, but does add another dimension for your 3rd or 4th game.

What can I say? If you like this game, you’ll enjoy this expansion. :)

If I could go back in time, I would only buy the marina expansion and not the aerial expansion. The dinos are super cute and it adds a nice look to the game, but it doesn't really add anything to the game and the flying dinosaurs add so little they are the last ones we add as they tend to hurt scoring more than if you didn't get any at all. Not a fan.

This is more challenging than the Marina Expansion, but equally fun! You don't earn points directly by playing your Meeples, but 'hatch' other dinos and build up to impressive point scores. Definitely recommend!
