The Nightmare Is About to Begin...Again!

Last Friday (Revised Edition) is the updated and revised version of our hidden movement, hunting, and deduction board game, inspired by the popular "slasher" horror movie genre. Subtle but important changes to the rules enhance the game balance, giving to the Maniac more opportunities than ever to spread terror in Camp Apache! This revised edition also features new cover art.

Last Friday (Revised Edition) is a game for 2 to 6 players, divided into four chapters full of horror and suspense ("Arrival at the Camp", "The Chase", "The Massacre", and "The Final Chapter"), with a playing time of 30 to 45 minutes per chapter, which you can play individually or together in a long night of terror!

In the role of young campers during Summer in 1980, five players are challenged to survive a long weekend of terror in a camp in the woods, while one of them takes the role of the undying psychopath hiding in the shadows of the forest.

Depending on which of the four "chapters" you play, the goal of the game changes, creating highly engaging gameplay: in some chapters the maniac is trying to find the campers, but in others, they are trying to find him. Each chapter plays out differently as the hunter becomes the prey, and then comes back from the dead looking for revenge. If a player dies during a chapter, they will come back in the next chapter with a different character, adding an additional level of replayability.

A forgotten gem! Love this game! Super easy and fast to get on the table and start playing. We always have multiple plays each time it hits the table.

Heavily thematic 1 v Many hidden movement game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I have a few friends that love this genre of film and can't wait to play this with. The components are very nice and everything fits well in the insert. Overall, from what I understand from the rules, it looks to be a very thematic and challenging game.

Bought for the family to play, my son and I are horror fans. This can be a bit of a learning curve but does a good job with the concept, much better than the licensed counterpart

Great game and lots of fun. I felt like some of the rules are vague.

Jason and the councilors got together one day to settle their differences with a board game. This is their story.

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

A welcome variation on the Hidden Movement genre, this game has four different scenarios/rulesets for each night of an overall campaign, though it can be played in one-shots. Played consecutively over the four night campaign, there is some modest carry-over that will favor the killer or the councilors, and the winner is only decided at the end of the fourth (or a bit earlier if the killer is really good and the councilors got unlucky). I recommend it over Letters From Whitechapel because it has variance to match the number of rounds you'd play in a campaign, but I would play Whitehall Mystery over it because that's a much more condensed experience with about the same schtick for people who don't have the time for 4 games in the Last Friday campaign.

Experience all the feels you get from the movies

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Be in the horror movie. Feels great as either the campers or the villain. Love that you get to switch roles in who is hunted each round.

It's 80s slasher the board game what more could you ask for? Great gameplay, great components, and honestly the rules are easier to read then most board games these days. Great job here.
