Good Party Game

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

If you are looking for a solid party game for a game night then look no further than Concept. Concept is able to play up to 12 because partners can team up. You are essentially trying to guess a word, phrase, person or idea by the clues you are given. Cubes are placed on a spot on the game board with a picture to represent something (Gender, Occupation, Etc.).

Fun Party Game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Concept is a fun game that will involve players working together to figure out a word or phrase from pictures on a board. The fun comes from the interactions around the table as everyone tries to communicate the concrete from the abstract. If you enjoy games with player interaction then this is one worth considering!

party time

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Nice party game that's like charades on a board. Everyone needs to remember that this is sort of a co-op game, where someone just needs to guess the word. Really fun, and definitely recommend if looking for a new party game

Great party game

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

This is a really fun party game. I have played a half a dozen times now and I still haven't gotten through all the cards and it hasn't gotten stale yet. My only thing is, and I know I am not the first to say this, the scoring system needs to be scrapped altogether. When trying to play this game to "see how scores the most and wins" it feels broken but if you ignore the scoring and just play to have fun it works wonderfully.

Fun charades-like game with pictures

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Concept is a fun charades-like game with pictures. Basically, there's a board with many different icons that conceptualize ideas and you need to mark those icons with cubes of different colors. At first I didn't expect much of it as it seemed pretty simple, but some of the words / phrases are really hard to convey (ie: Remembrance of Things Past). It has 3 different levels of difficulty, so the whole family can play. The components are nice and the rules are very clear.

Charades meets Pictionary meets Password meets Shame

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The first time I saw Concept being played, I knew I had to play it. The iconography on the board is perfectly created for the modern day and age, and will appeal to younger people quite well although it may take some time for older people to dive into its quirkiness). In this guessing game, you're trying to get people to guess a person's name, a phrase, an object or location. Much like you would in any game of Pictionary or Charades, but you're using plastic pieces in conjunction with icons on a board to communicate the idea to the other players. No two games of Concept will ever be exactly the same, because it's all based on how people transmit information and how people receive information. How long you try to communicate these ideas and concepts before giving up really depends on you and how long you can hold out without feeling totally ashamed of your attempts. I would recommend that anyone that needs to do some kind of team building exercise -- whether at work, at school, at a non-profit organization, etc -- purchase this game and give it a whirl. You'll learn a lot about each other, but also about how people think and communicate. Have fun with it!

Wildly fun abstract and iconagrphy guessing game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Similar to Pictionary and Password, Concept is a guessing game that uses a board filled with various kinds of pictures that depict categories. These categories are large and diverse: men, woman, fiction, shapes, sizes, materials (metal, wood), elements (fire, water), shopping, colors, body parts, events and even emotions. Players have an item, person, event, or even a saying they must get others to guess. Clue markers are placed that indicate importance of a clue (major and minor) and relationship to each other (by color), player link different icons on the board to convey the concept they are trying to get across. Put a major clue on holiday and a minor clue on the heart to indicate Valentine's Day. Or put a major clue on history and a minor clue on the triangle shape to indicate the pyramids. It is great time seeing how people communicate through ideas and symbols and how in turn people interpret those ideas. There are a variety of ways to play or just have fun taking turns.
