In spite of the name there are no ducks in The Quacks of Quedlinburg, Instead, you're quack doctors trying to build the best possible potion to sell and in increase your reputation. using a bag-building mechanic with exploding white pieces. Quacks allows for simultaneous play and has a variety of combinations for ingredient powers to keep the game refreshing and fast-paced. It's fun and balanced at a variety of player counts.

This is a push-your-luck game done right.

This game has NO strategy. But it is FUN. Easy to teach, easy to learn. My wife was skeptical when I asked her if we should get it? We all ended up having a great time. It's a luck-based game where the strategy is what chips should I buy? Should I take out one more chip out of the bag? YOU DECIDE.

Great game that all in our family enjoy playing -- even our one teenage son holdout on board games. A pretty high luck game, though not without a skill element (maybe 70/30?). This makes newbies feel like they have a chance even as they are learning, but the experienced players still feel like their experience favors them slightly. If the participants are board gamers, it's a good small party game, if you just want four players (or five with the expansion) people, or eight with two to a team. Fairly easy to pick up without being simplistic. Nice play length, especially the second time you play it.

This was a big hit for the gamer & non-gamers in my family! It’s become a family favorite very quickly!

Be prepared to poke a lot of pieces out of cardboard haha. That said, even though this game look intimidating to new boardgame players when setting up, it's pretty straightforward and you catch on quick. The game is half luck half skill but I like that; it allows for smart plays and funny moments.

I heard a lot of good things about this game. Finally got around to purchasing it and it has been well worth it! My family has had a lot of fun playing. Great combination of strategy and luck

I got quacks to play with my parents, who aren't heavy gamers. The complexity was just right for everyone to have a great time. Pulling chips out of a bag simultaneously keeps the game moving and keeps everyone excited. The replayability with the variable setup kept us coming back. Awesome game, a classic!
