Aquatica (2nd Edition)

I adore this game. It's challenging and immensely satisfying. I can't recommend it enough! I can't say for sure yet, but I'm almost positive this game is going to make it into my Top 9.

Great price point for what's inside, if I had a gripe, I wish it had more character cards, akin too Abyss.

This game is a ton of fun. The components are of high quality. Directions are written clearly. The iconography in the game is easy to understand. During your turn, you must perform a main action to buy a location, character, or refresh the cards and mantas you have used. All players start with four mantas which give the players currency to acquire cards or locations. You can also interact with cards you have purchased to gain currency or refresh individual cards. Overall, the game is lots of fun and highly recommended.

I bought this just to get the free shipping on my order and it looked interesting. When I played it however I immediately loved it! It has a lot of depth in the strategy and planning but plays very smoothly and fast. Super easy to learn. I went and bought the expansion within a week!

Fun Deep-sea adventure

Aquatica is a mid weight game, wich features some Deck/Engine Building mechanics, in wich you compete with up to 3 other players to try and make your undereater civilization the most prosper. Very good game, easy to learn, hard to máster, good quality componentes, nice artwork.

A solid card-driven engine builder with amazing art and a very clever 'card raising' mechanic that gives every card multiple special powers. The only flaw Aquatica has is that it really needs an expansion to add more card variety.
