Bad Company

Ok so the game is super solid. Tight gameplay, good mechanics, light-ish weight make it a great game for families. I think it works better than Machi Koro, less dependent on luck even if you do have to trade a bit of complexity to get there. Bad company seems to have a lot of moving parts at first, but once your group gets used to the turn sequence, even the most novice of gamers can end up winning a game. The game is very well balanced, the only downside being the police car mechanic, it seems pretty harmless at the end of the game. Overall the game thrives at 3-4 players in my opinion. Havent played it solo, but at two it seems a little unassuming and easier, still tons of fun though.

The Dice Tower hit the spot on this one. It's NOT a hard game to learn or play. It's a nice filler game, or a simple family time game. Yet it does have strategy in it if you want to win. I enjoy the dice rolling / selection aspect. This game can be played in 45-60 min or less. Component quality is really good. I recommend you sleeve all cards. My one gripe is that the box could be smaller to save on space, and the price for what you get. MSRP at $50 for this game is NOT worth it, when MM put it on sale and reduced the price I took advantage and grabbed a copy. I will keep it for years because of the high replayability options (a nice Friday night after dinner type of game).

Our family of 5 (kids ages 11, 9, and 8) really enjoyed it. Love the quirky artwork and the way the people in your gang grow as you upgrade them and stack the cards. Love that there is always something for you to do on other people's turns (similar to Space Base). With 5 people in our family some games can really drag with that downtime - but this seems to work really well with that at all player counts. Our younger two probably aren't grasping all of the strategy with it but still had a good time with it and will be able to grow into it.

Bad Company is a dice game similar to Space Base, but with a stronger theme. Instead of a nameless space base accumulating points for points sake, in Bad Company you're building a criminal gang to do heists for victory points. Your gang members will give you special abilities whenever certain numbers are rolled on the dice. The die rolling is way better implemented into the point of the game. Lots of fun

It is hard not to compare this game to Space Base. Space Base is one of my all-time favorites. So, I was very please that Bad Company scratches the same itch as Space Base. It is not a Space Base replacement, but a wonderful compliment.
