Teotihuacan is expanding into an empire! The city is growing beyond its old borders, military expeditions project its influence all the way to the Yucatan Peninsula. Fighting men become settlers, new resources are discovered, and the wealth brought by obsidian draws in new discoveries.

Expansion Period is a modular expansion for Teotihuacan: City of Gods. It introduces several new options to enrich and expand the game experience.

Obsidian - a new, wildcard resource in the game, more powerful than others, used for special actions in other modules, as well as for faster gameplay, added onto the new resource collection action boards.

Mansion - a new action board is added to the game to replace the Palace board, providing new options to climb temples and power up your workers.

Altars & Shamans - this module adds a whole new dimension to the game. Previously empty spaces between Action Boards are now dedicated to Altars, home to Shamans - new game pieces which move counter-clockwise and perform their own set of powerful actions.

Expanding the Empire - the new Empire board comes with a wealth of opportunities, while integrating perfectly with the base game. The new Conquest board, compatible with previous expansions, allows players to use warriors to reach new lands and then turn them into settlers to advance on the Avenue of the Dead.

Advanced Teotibot - new functionalities for Teotibot, your solo opponent, make it compatible with all new content.

All modules are compatible with one another and previous expansions, and can be enjoyed together or individually, making the already highly customizable Teotihuacan: City of Gods an ever more varied and unique gaming experience for the true strategists!

More great content

This features more components to expand Teotihuacan. All thugs considered this is a pretty impressive value to add more variability and content to the game.

Teotihuacan is one of the greatest games of the last years. This expansion adds more to everything, more discovery tiles, more mask tiles, more options for the palace and even new actions for the spaces between actions on the board. Good thing is that is modular, so can choose what you like more and play.

Another great expansion

Teotihuacan is an amazing game and this expansion adds more elements that improve it. I just added it to the other expansions to make a full, complex game. Plays well multiplayer and solo

Recommended expansion

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great expansion for a stellar game. It adds enough new content to make for many exciting experiences, increasing replay-ability. The new “wild” Obsidian resource makes for faster gameplay, which is nice. The Mansion action board (which replaces the Palace) has some new options to face up temples and to better power up your workers. The Altars and Shamans module is our favorite, as it adds a unique counter-clockwise game-within-the-game, using the previously unused spaces between action boards. Finally, the new Conquest board is pretty interesting: turn warriors into settlers and help your race up the Avenue of the Dead. There’s also a bunch of added/upgraded content (Major Discoveries and Special Masks are fun, and there are more Priests and Priestesses to help with the slight asymmetric choices, and more Tech, Season, and Starting Tiles). Overall, a really solid expansion; super happy I picked this one up!

this game is one of the best in the T series.the base game is great and every module and expansion add a fun and exciting element to an already great game including the newest.honestly i have to say i would recommend every expansion for this game.they each can integrate easily and add something fresh without the feeling of being shoehorned in or giving the game a bloated feel.highly recommended.
