Call of Cthulhu RPG - 7th Edition is a tabletop roleplaying game based upon the worlds of H. P. Lovecraft. It is a game of secrets, mysteries, and horror. Playing the role of steadfast investigators, you travel to strange and dangerous places, uncover foul plots, and stand against the terrors of the Cthulhu Mythos. You encounter sanity-blasting entities, monsters, and insane cultists. Within strange and forgotten tomes of lore you discover revelations that man was not meant to know. You and your companions may very well decide the fate of the world.
The Keeper Rulebook contains the core rules, background, guidance, spells, and monsters of the game. It is intended for use by the Keeper of Arcane Lore (the Keeper) - that player who will represent the adventure to the other players. You must have at least one copy of this book to play Call of Cthulhu RPG. The other players, the Investigators, should have one or more copies of the Investigator Handbook, containing expanded rules for character creation, skills, occupations, equipment, and more.
Call of Cthulhu RPG - 7th Edition, is backwards-compatible with all other available Chaosium titles.

Excellent Rules and Game
I have played the CoC stater set on and off for a while, but finally am diving more into this game. The Keeper Rulebook is excellent. Everything is pretty well laid out, the rules are not overly complicated (though things like Chases will need some extra reading), and the quality and illustrations are great.

Terrify your friends
Far easier to read than previous editions, throughout the book there is examples that clearly explain how to run different situations.

The Core Rulebook
This game has earned its spot as one of the most played RPGs of all time. The book is amazing and oozes with lovecraftian flavor. Everything you need to play the game is in this book. I waited on buying it thinking I would have to have to the investigator's handbook as well to play, that was until I found an article that said you only need this one. I started with the starter set and now have the core book (Keepers Guide). With both of these I am ready to get into the Mythos and the Weird world of Lovecraft. I recommend this book to any lovecraft fan or anyone looking for a horror inspired RPG.
