Another must pick up lance.
Unless you are looking for specific mechs, as a new player, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the lance box sets. A good mix of mechs.

A solid mix of clan mech. The models are good quality and well priced for what you get.

Bought on sale and worth it
Bought on sale. Minis are good quality but may need some plastic trimming for the very detailed painters. I’m not one of those. The sale made me buy the clan invasion starter box so I know what’s going on. Worth it.

Solid Clan Star
This star contains one of the fastest Clan Heavy Omni mechs: The Line Backer. It also contains a solid staple heavy Omni, the Night Gyr. A very good medium: Black Lanner. All around a very good star.
