I was looking for a dice set that had high contrast and was very easy to read, this set fullfilled that need perfectly!
My only complaint, and it is a very minor one, is that the d4 looks less than stellar. The numbers appear slightly fades or less opaque. The finish on the die itself is matte and appears a tiny bit grainy (the other dice are smooth and a little glossy.) It almost makes the d4 appear old and well used. But it is no less functional and is still perfectly readable, so I can't say that I'm upset about it.
The Chessex opaque sets are my preferred dice. They are nicely weighted and the result of the roll is immediately apparent. I dislike the sets with swirls. odd fonts, or are translucent. They may look nice but it slows the game down trying to decipher the results.
The Chessex dice are also a great price.
I love solid opaque dice as it brings back the good old times in the 90s where it is commonly found in DnD starter sets, 2nd ed. Just love the bright and clear colors, easy to read and easy on the eye. Top notch quality from Chessex
