28mm Scale

Once united under the banner of the Great Tharl, the Ogre tribes and city states were sworn enemies of the Mannish kingdoms. Under the High Queen's Peace though, some nations have begun to trade and even allied with the Free Kingdoms. Ogre mercenaries have adopted some of the more flamboyant customs and dress of their human employers and are formidable foes on the battlefield.

This box set lets you build either 9 Landsknecht Ogres or 9 of The Vain for Death Fields. Weapons include halberds, spears, cannon, knives, clubs, great swords, pistols, auto-guns, shotguns, and grenades. A huge variety of heads, floppy hats, feathers, and more will allow you to customize to your heart's content!

This box can also build The Vain, a group of abducted Landsknecht who after some time on the circuit succumbed to flattery and allowed themselves to be genetically modified to be bigger and stronger. Their alien owner of course didn't explain that they would also become grotesque. They now operate as guns for hire and are lent out to the highest bidders as a supplement to regular teams on the Death Fields circuit.

Bases are not included.

Cheap plastic Ogres.

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

These are GOOD. Not Great, but good. I say that because they don't come with instructions, like all of Wargames Atlantics range. Some arms don't go together really well and you need to be careful about the bodies because their chest plates aren't interchangeable. You do get a lot of options for them, however, including some Sci-fi esque bits and plenty of extra heads. They look really good once built and aside from some mold lines on the inside of the legs they don't require to much clean up. I'd definitely recommend them. Also, SUPER CHEAP Slave Ogryn gang for Necromunda!!!

So many options.

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

One kit fills so many different styles, from the renaissance to pike and shot to Ogre Nam. Ogres are slightly smaller than Games Workshop ogres but not noticeably out of scale. Though these are definitely smaller than D&D ogres, they could fill in as Orogs.

Amazing kit

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

These ogres have a lot of options for both fantasy and scifi versions. They're big, dapper chaps with solid details that make painting easy.
