Company of Heroes is a board game based on the popular WW2 video game of the same name. It is a strategic and tactical game that simulates the battles and campaigns of the war. Players can choose from different factions, commanders, and units to create their own army and fight for control points on various maps. Players maneuver units to secure resource points, grow their economy, unlock buildings as well as purchase and upgrade new units.

The game features innovative mechanics such as cover systems, building occupation and destruction, in-game economy and purchasing, and an elegant combat engine. The game can be played solo, cooperatively, or competitively, with scenarios and campaigns that offer different challenges and objectives. The 2 player Core Set contains everything needed to play Company of Heroes, a squad based World War II wargame with two players. The set contains all of the core American and the German Wehrmacht factions to be able to play 1 versus 1 games. Additional faction boxes can be purchased to increase the player count up to 8.
