Special Edition Cover - Planescape

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I like the look and feel of the special edition books for these. Not sure they needed to break the set out into 3 separate books to match some of the other 3 book sets and couldn't have just condensed the books from 2 of the books into a single book. I enjoy the aspects of the city book and the monster manual has some good options, I have not read through the campaign book yet. The DM screen has a very nice feel and look to it from the DM and player sides.

Newbie To Planescape

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

First Off - Miniature Market shipped quickly and securely. Was very happy with how quickly I got it and was surprised how much protection was in the box. Planescape is interesting, I'm sure the veteran players do not require the book. As someone new to the setting, it's interesting. As someone who's gone from Forgotten Realms to Eberron; This setting will take some time to gather thoughts and implement. If you're looking for a Spider-man Into the Spiderverse/Traverse Dimensions/Planes system. This may be the supplement you want to pick up. (Alt Art is rad, but not necessary)

Good book set

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I'm going to be clear, I bought this set as a gift, but the cover art is amazing and the content is right up the recipient's alley. This will be a good set of books for people who like Spelljammer, or who want to add an extra planar twist to their D&D adventure.

If you were already going to get it...then get it!

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

If you have been a fan of Planescape over the years, this is not going to add much that is new aside from updated 5e stat blocks. Get it for the artwork and a few interesting adventure hooks...and of course, to complete the collection if that applies to you. The artwork is gorgeous, and it is wonderful to see Tony DiTerlizzi back in Planescape. Otherwise, it is safe to skip this. If you are new to Planescape, this is a good introduction to the setting. If you enjoy it, once you have digested this boxed set, follow up with 2nd Edition reprints/pdfs, 3rd Edition online resources, and of course the video game Planescape: Torment--it's a rabbit hole almost as deep as you want to take it!
