Another Type of Trog

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

A Decent figure, a little on the small side. I would have liked with a base color a little bite of green in it.

Nice to find

Some of these minis I wish wizkids did in unpainted but it is what it is, some of the colors are kinda mottled and the lettering under base hard to read but all in all happy to have for game.

Simple but very impressive

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

In a way this troglodyte is very simple and not very flashy. He has almost no colours and he's just walking, not doing anything special. Yet I really like him! Why? There's a definite sense of realism in him. He really looks like how a troglodyte would, had we such beings in our own world. Lean figure, wrinkled and scaly skin, very reptilian presence. He's concentrated on his own lizardness, he just looks aloof to you, mammal, he actually heard you a minute ago already. The long, balancing tail is another feature that ups the realism factor. And the black claws of the right hand are just some extra coolness! Okay, he could have used a better paint job, and some may prefer a fighting pose, but there's just something cool in his casual, walking pose. He's not flashy and he's not a lizard king, but putting a posse of these guys on the table sends a definite signal to your players: they've stepped in another world with unique, strange, alien beings, and their own preconceptions will fail to get them through the situation. Which dungeon master doesn't love that?
