No Major Complaints

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Best pre-painted ogre miniature available. Some minor painting flaws (the flesh color overlapped onto its loincloth), and the eyes were a bit sloppy, but they're both barely noticeable.

big

Compared to the warband set this ogre is quite large, about 1/3 bigger. Its paint job is okay but I prefer the warband one overall.

Beautiful detail. Looking forward to using it as my giant in an upcoming adventure.

Best in Class

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Elemental Evil got a lot of monster miniatures right, and this thing is no exception. The sculpt is fantastic, the paint job is well-executed, and the size is rather menacing for a large foe (2x2 on the grid). Of all the sculpts for this particular monster type, this ogre is definitely the standard-bearer among its contemporaries. $10 is a fair price for a miniature you'll be coming up with reasons to break out onto the gaming table at every opportunity.

A dose of MASSIVE violence and gluttony

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Looking at the sculpt and the painting, this is the greatest ogre figure in existence and one of the best minis in Elemental Evil. It's both muscular and corpulent, and hits just the right balance between human and beast - many other ogres look too much beast-like to my tastes. This one is perfect - but for a tiny matter that must be mentioned. It is HUGE. Well, of course it is "Large" (2x2) and not "Huge" (3x3) but you know what I mean. It's massive, towering over many Hill Giant minis. It may look too big and strong for having the stats of an Ogre. That bothers me, but it looks so great and pleasing that I (almost) don't care. There is one other Ogre that has almost all the virtues of this one, but is a bit smaller and thus more believable as an ogre: the one from Dungeon Command / Blood of Gruumsh. I recommend that one also. But if you are using something like the Hill Giants from Storm King's Thunder, and are fine with 2nd/3rd level PC's triumphing over an Ogre this big, then don't hesitate to buy this one - it's nothing but awesome.

Great ogre figure for the money.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Ogres are a common foe for heroes, often the first "big" enemy they'll face, aside from trolls. This ogre figure looks like he mean business. He big, he'll tower over the PCs. His stance shows him roaring a challenge and shaking his axe, promising violence and mayhem to come.
