Rage of Demons minis do not have stat cards.

Rage of Demons is the third set of randomly sorted monsters and heroes in the exciting new line of D&D miniatures, Icons of the Realms.

In Rage of Demons, Demon Lords are invading the Underdark, a deadly, subterranean realm inhabited by the most dangerous monsters of Dungeons and Dragons lore. The Demon Lords have begun to conquer regions of the Underdark and threaten to emerge on the surface. If successful, they will bring their personal flavor of madness to Faerun.

Great figure

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Definitely useful in a dungeon encounter The monster is in motion, as if it were pouncing on the PC's. Much better than using a placeholder for a monster, of course

Good Sculpt, Lazy Paintjob

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

Was going to run this, had no mini, and didn't want to go through the process of 3D printing it if a common like this existed. The sculpt is dynamic with the raised-off-the-ground peg inserted roughly into its bottom, took a little bit of force and wiggling but it's definitely on now. The paint job is....lacking. Some detail on the face, but the rest of the body is just a naked-molerat flesh tone that doesn't look like any illustration of the Cockatrice I've seen in any WOTC or Paizo art. Specifically, they are described with bat wings and lizard tails, so at the very minimum I would suggest slapping a darker green paint over most of the tail, and possibly darkening the wings. This mini is a common so I totally get that it's not as detailed as if it were a rare but I've seen many commons that would have at least done something like painting the tail green.

Good Product

This was very hard to mount to the stand as the hold was too small. Had to glue it.

Perfect scale and good paint job.

Assembly Challenges

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

Was rather hard to glue properly together, the hole in the mini itself was a tad small so it didn't slide all the way through to fit perfectly. The quality of the paint and model itself is fine, its what you'd expect for the box sets. Looks as pictured.

Yay, a cockatrice that's not rare and overpriced!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

In the past, most of the critters that you'd really want to have for any campaign have been rare and overpriced. The common ones are often ones you'll never need in most campaigns. Thankfully, this mini reverses that trend. A common, reasonably priced mini, the cockatrice is a terrifying foe for any character without good saving throws, and with this mini, you can drop it on the battlemat and really let it sink in with your players that it's time to be very, very careful (and maybe bring out those ranged weapons and attack spells). The only negative about this mini (and the reason I dropped Quality to 4 stars) is that for some reason they decided to paint almost the entire a dirty tan color. It's supposed to be the front part of a chicken, the back part of a lizard, and the wings of a bat. That would normally be a pretty distinctive color combination, but this one is downright boring. Maybe that's the tradeoff for it being common. This is a good one to repaint, if you're into that.
