Hard to fit in the attachment rod
Rod is a too-tight fit, had to glue it.

Good Product
This was very hard to mount to the stand as the hold was too small. Had to glue it.

Face is a little weird
The sculpt and pose are fine, and the transparency is lovely. but the painted-on face makes her look a little like a blow-up doll and I don't like looking at it. I'll probably remove the paint from mine.

Stand issues
It's a well made mini, except for the stand part. The piece of plastic that attaches the banshee to its base does not fit; this is a frequent issue with earlier flying minis from Wizards.

One Of The Best Noncorporeal Undead Minis
This is a great miniature. Yes, it's a banshee, but if it wasn't labeled that on the bottom of the base, you'd never know. It looks more like a generic noncorporeal undead (specter, for instance), and that actually makes this a more useful mini. I have rarely seen a game with banshees in it, but I've seen quite a few with specters and other noncorporeal undead. The pose is nice. It's instantly recognizable as a human-ish figure (unlike some previous similar minis). Unlike the picture here, it doesn't look like it died because Joker used Smilex on it. There's no red makeup on the face on mine. A useful mini, well-sculpted, and very reasonably priced for such a useful uncommon.

The banshee has been a part of RPGs from the start, and the legends date back as far as anyone can remember. This new set for the D&D game has some great additions, and miniatures like this one provide a lot of versatility. Obviously you can run it as an actual banshee, but it would do just as well as a ghost or apparition in a fantasy setting or in a horror RPG. The miniature is very detailed, but the one i received was a little different from the picture. There was no color in the face, and the overall material was a slightly more bluish tinge than the picture. Neither of these was a detractor though, and the mini looks great with a good action pose and a definite timelessness to the outfit the creature is wearing. The price is also not too bad.
