After paying $33 for this item, I was very disappointed because it proved to be much smaller than such a price should warrant. I guess the lesson for me is to not buy such an item that lacks a much better description; at least one that cost so much.

This one in particular is my favorite of the Tyranny of Dragons mini metallic dragons. Mostly because of the pose. I am doing some additional detailing because this one is a little bland comparatively to the other dragons in this line. As I said in my previous reviews, these are roughly a little smaller than the young dragon unpainted minis (comparing the dragon body only). They work great for a stand in when you're not trying to relay the size difference between a player and a NPC adult dragon. Perfect for use in Rise of Tiamat where the object isn't to fight them, but to convince them to support your cause. If you really want to make these look their best, add in some Army Painter rock/sand/grasses to the base. These guys can look great with minimal effort.

Much Smaller Than You May Think

Average rating of 2 out of 5 stars

This was the first dragon from the tyranny of dragon sets. And honestly I'm really disappointed. Nowhere on the product page does it say that it is a "large" creature. The only thing I went off of was another customer review saying it was one of the big dragons. Now when I received the dracolich I thought "wow that's small compared to the other gargantuan dragons". This silver dragon even being large sized is honestly pretty equal to a few dragon wyrmlings sizes. Don't get unless you're intentionally trying to get a TINY dragon. Honestly feels like stealing since no dimensions are on the page. Definitely going to have to get a different silver dragon for my campaign.

Really nice, painting a bit lacking

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This is the first of the "big" dragons I picked up. The price makes this figure a no brainer and it is really worth the price on every level. The hole for the peg mount as a bit small on the dragon so you may have to work it open a little so be careful. The paint appears a little "glopped" on on the wings in some points and the face is lacking a little detail but that can be fixed with some painting. All in all a really nice piece and Im glad I got it.
