beautiful mini with lots of personality

Really comes to life on the table! Pricy, though.

Not near as large as I thought it would be but otherwise very nice. Can't wait to throw this one at the group ;-)

Too similar to Monster Menagerie 2 Beholder

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

The other reviewer mentioned a bad paint job, but I just wanted to add that I did not get a bad paint job on mine. I bought a case and mine looks pretty decent. The whole quality of this set is pretty substandard, however, so buyer beware. My one big gripe is that it looks ALMOST identical to the cheaper Beholder in the Monster Menagerie 2 set. That one has a slightly different stand and a different smirk but they look a lot alike. The paint job is ok on both. If you want to save a few bucks get the one from the Monster Menagerie 2, no one will know it's technically not Xanathar.

Better Quality Needed

Average rating of 2 out of 5 stars

It very much shows that these figs were rushed in the quality and application of the paint. There are big spots of dried black wash that just looks like plain dirt. This is one of the flag ship figs in this set, and I'm fairly sure I can't sell it back even to miniature market it's so badly done.
