Dragonbane is a classic fantasy tabletop roleplaying game full of magic, mystery, and adventure. It is designed from the ground up to facilitate fast and furious play, with very little prep time and adventures that are a breeze to run. Dragonbane is a translation of Drakar och Demoner, Scandinavia's first and biggest tabletop RPG, originally launched in 1982. What a great starter set!
The RPG is the RPG, it's got a lot of history behind it, and it's been updated and translated by Free League, so it's generally thought of as a quality product. The box set itself is full of contents for such a low price, you get two books, a set of dice, a solo play pamphlet, two packs of cards, and standees with stands. This is a wonderful way to start playing Dragonbane or RPGs in general.

This is a fun game, I love the mechanics and theme. Unlike many RPGs, Dragonbane is pleasantly easy to pick up for this old time D&D player (since about '82). I recommend this to my friends, I mean, I bought it. And the included campaigns in this starter box, eleven of them, are substantial. This starter set gives you more than your money's worth, and a set of dice. Granted, I have a dice addiction, it can strike anyone, it's truly random. Hey people, play a campaign scenario of Dragonbane, it doesn't replace the other two RPG systems I love, but it is a solid addition and will receive mostly equal playing time.
