Warfighter: WWII - Expansion #5: Ammo Box

Box was packaged well but arrived with the top dented, causing creases that stretched from the four corners towards the middle. It wasn't sealed in plastic either, just a sticker on each side that left behind adhesive that I have to try and figure out how to remove without damaging the box. Can't believe I spent money on this...

The Ammo Box is essentially a storage solution for those of us who have chosen to expand beyond the base game of Warfighter: WWII. And by ‘expand’ I mean ‘expand a lot.’ The box is wide enough to hold three rows of cards, the game board from the core box and (I assume) any expansions. It also includes dividers for the cards the are flagged to identify the cards. Finally, it includes some additional Soldier Cards for the primary nationalities and Service Record Cards for this interested in providing more fully fleshed backgrounds for their troops. The box is sturdy and is sized to hold all of the cards from my core game and then some. It will fit sleeved cards as long as they are a good fit with little edge. There is A LOT of room with no provided foam or blank filler boxes to take up space. You will need to find a way to keep the cards somewhat snugged up so they aren’t sliding all over. This was a pretty simple problem that DVG should have been aware of. Most Card-based games have some kind of solution so those who don’t have ALL of the product don’t suffer from too much space. As it is, my core set, two expansion decks and the included ammo box extras don’t come close to filling even one of the three card storage rows. The ammo-box comes with hard plastic glossy divider cards nicely labeled for the cards they are separating (think credit card like plastic). Unfortunately, the name of the game has top billing on each card and what is being separated sits below the top of the cards it is sitting between. You can’t see at a glance what is s actually behind the card. The box also holds the game board (it sits on the card trays), but the board is only about 3/4ths as long as the box so it might be prone to sliding. It will also hold all of the rule books and any other standard width documents (with plenty of room for legal size should you have something 14” long). The box also holds Plano pro-latch 3600 storage trays with some slight wiggle room. Overall, I will use the box. It will fit my whole collection and a lot of dead air. The extra cards will be a nice addition but not necessary for gameplay. You will still need the core box to play. You can’t build and outfit any units with the cards provided. Was it a necessary purchase? No. It was priced a little too high for its value, but now that I have it, I will use it. The box could have served its purpose just fine and still be shorter and shallower.

I have quite a few expansions of the Warfighter series, including the WWII, Modern, and PMC. This box has enough room for all my expansions and 3 trays for tokens. It is a must have for any fan of the series and comes with an expansion pack for the WWII game.

This is a great storage box to hold your whole collection of warfighter. I dont have everything for warfighter but I have quite a bit and this box holds everything I have for warfighter so far including WWII Pacific, WWII, and Modern.

Perfect for all my Warfighter Expansions and Base Game components including counter storage . . . I can also fit Warfighter WWII Pacific in there . . . I just need more expansions ! Glad I finally got this . . . should have been a day one upgrade to a great game !
