Good entry point to the series
As someone that has a lot of experience with Deck Builders but zero experience with Clank! titles, this was a really fun game that was easy to pick up and dive into (pun intended). The tension created by the variable end trigger had the whole team engaged up until the last card was played.

A great spin on a classic game!
My boardgame group has played the original clank and all it's expansions well over 100 times over the years. We also played the Legacy Game (which I also highly recommend) and this version of the game is such a cool spin on the formula! All the new mechanics are super fun and inspired and I can't recommend it enough if you are a fan of the original game or deckbuilders in general definitely get this game to your table!

The way to play Clank!
Having owned Clank! original and played both sides, we realized after 2 plays that it would be a very boring game for us. Same map, same strategy, same route. This changes things by a 180'degree. Now you have NO idea how things will turn out. And some of the tricks in the new cards really amp up the game. My only disappointment is that the first 4 tiles will usually always be the same. So you'll pretty much know where to start your dig. And then if you die and you are at least on one of the 4 starting cards, you don't fully die (you're points count, you just don't get the bonus 20pts). That's it. If you like Clank, this will really make you want to play it again (take it from the Dice Tower's review)

Probably my favorite Clank! Love the mystery and flipping of the tiles. No game will ever be the same.

Evens the playing field
I always play Clank! with a VERY seasoned player and she always kicks my butt. The beauty of this version is the game board always changes so it evens the playing field between the veteran players and newer players. Awesome game!

Good Game
Clank! Catacombs' randomized map generation adds an exciting element of unpredictability to the game, and the ability to explore different paths and encounters each time you play is undeniably fun. However, while the new map generation is a great addition, the variety of cards included in the game may not be enough to keep the game feeling fresh after multiple playthroughs. As a result, replayability may not be as strong as some players would like. Nonetheless, Clank! Catacombs remains an enjoyable experience and is a solid choice.

Refreshing (and better) edition of the legendary Clank!
Really interesting and refreshing version of the original Clank! : more variability, a new balance between cards that make the game more lively, and potentially better than the original, a great game we wished had more content/expansions for it !

Half normal clank, half clank legacy
A good midway point between the two games

Nice Twist in the Clank Family
I love both the original Clank as well as Clank in Space. Clank Catacombs adds a few new twists that make it a little more suspenseful and nerve-wracking. Because the board is revealed as you go, it's not so much of a race to get to the best artifacts. It remains to be seen if it will replace the other two, but I believe I will continue to play the others too.

The Best Clank! Yet
Having played several other versions of Clank!, I must say that Clank! Catacombs is by far the best. The dungeon is now unknown, only revealed as new tiles are explored. Suddenly, all the Artifact locations are now unknown, AND, they will, in all likelihood, be revealed in smallest to largest order. The dash to the exit with the first Artifact problem of previous versions is now solved, as the Artifacts now represent a much smaller proportion of the possible points available. There is now a palpable tension regarding whether to push on further, as you do not know how long it will take to find another Artifact. The labyrinthine tunnels, filled with one-way arrows and locks, also make finding your way home no easy task. I am not sure if I will play any of the older versions again. If you liked any of the previous Clank!'s, Catacombs is a must buy.
