Great little trick taking game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Cool concept for a weeknight after-dinner game. Plays in about 20 minutes with interesting decisions and excellent art. Looking forward to trying out the expansion factions.

I enjoyed the game play and overall look but i prefer other games in this two-player trick-taking catagory.

I Wasn't a Fan of Trick-Taking Games

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

At first glance, Claim appears to be a simple trick-taking game, some of which you can play with a regular deck of 52 cards. I haven't been a fan of those games before now - they all felt too similar and too uninteresting. For Claim, however, the art is great and the gameplay is fun. Claim allows for a type of strategy that you can change on-the-fly, and certainly fits under easy to learn, hard to master. Each suit (or faction) has a unique way to use them, and some have their own spread of number values depending on whether you want to win or lose the trick. There were multiple playthroughs where I thought I would lose handily but I was able to scrape by for the win. It has been a lot of fun to play on its own, and the fact that you can change things up if you include the Reinforcements packs or Claim 2 will keep me wanting to play.

Meh

Not very exciting. Seems mostly luck based with a little strategy.

Excellent two-player trick taking game.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This is an extremely clever two-player trick taking game. The way the game is split into two halves with the first half being about drafting your hand for the second half is just brilliant. If you're looking for an excellent trick-taking game that plays well with two-players, look no further!

Fun set collection

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Claim is a great way to engage kids in set collection with fun illustrations and neat modifiers that make you think about your collection choices. I like that each factions power fits with the theme of their character. Fun game!

CLAIM - A Trick-Taking Game for 2 Players

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Oh Scott Almes, how do you always manage to pack so much game in a small box! For such a small box, CLAIM is a deep game. There is a lot of bang for your buck here. Not only does it allow a trick-taking game for 2 players, the card powers constantly keep you on your toes for sure. Because we've only played a few games, the strategy is hard to pin down, but we'll get there.

Trick playing reival

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Claim does an excellent job at making trick pplaying interesting again. The cew is a great game but does not p[lay well with two people. Claim is a two player trick game that has endlessly replayable.
