It has been one hundred years since the Shadow fell.
A century ago, the forces of darkness swept down from the North. They crushed the free cities of Humanity, drove the Elves back into the depths of the forests, and besieged the Dwarves in their mountain holds. Now the corrupted lieutenants of a dark God rule these broken kingdoms with an iron fist, while hunting down those brave few who still struggle defiantly against the evil that consumes their world.
Midnight lets you take on the role of courageous heroes battling against overwhelming evil. Using the 5th edition Systems Reference Document under the Open-Gaming License published by Wizards of the Coast, the book is completely compatible with the 5th Edition of the game. Choose your character from amongst the varied Elven, Human, Dwarven, Halfling, Gnome, and Orc cultures in Eredane, select your heroic path to become a hero worthy of legend, and take the fight to the fell legions of Izrador and his legate lieutenants!
This book includes:
• Thirteen new race options unique to the Midnight setting.
• A heroic path system that is easy to use and empowers your character to be a champion of the oppressed and downtrodden.
• New feats and spells to address the unique challenges you'll face in Eredane.
• An extensive guide to the richly detailed and storied world of Midnight.
• A host of adversary profiles of all power levels, designed to offer challenges from levels 1 to 20.

I love this setting. The 5e is a great addition to the core books!!!!

Midnight
About halfway through and its all very cool. Especially the heroic path system. I've read some negative comments about changes made from previous editions of the campaign setting but I'm coming in with zero previous exposure to the campaign its exactly what I was looking for.

The title is just as amazing as the setting is. The Dark Souls of D&D 5E
This is an amazing setting and but beware as it is hardcore and many players aren't ready for this type of game. So make sure that this is something you and your players are ready for before starting into this. There are many dark tones and can have some graphic game play. This is the type of setting that will push your players to play like they have never played before. Survival and hiding are truly important in this setting.
