As the game's fifth campaign expansion, Mutant Genesis adds a plethora of classic X-Men characters to the scene, including two new playable heroes, Colossus and Shadowcat, each of which comes with a pre-built deck ready to play from the get-go. Face off against iconic villains, such as Sabretooth, Sentinels, and Magneto, and work together to overcome a fresh batch of challenges. This expansion includes five brand-new scenarios, each of which can be played individually or as part of a larger campaign.

Good Box
This expansion/campaign box is probably the best one in terms of power scaling that I have played yet. Feels like the comics brought to the tabletop.

Must own for fans of XMEN
Great expansion to introduce XMEN to Marvel Champions. Although I would've liked to have Cyclops and Jean Grey as the two included heroes, however Colossus and Shadow Cat are very good. They made their precons quite strong out the gate, IMO.

Fun, thematic, difficult
I haven't gone through all the content, but so far it feels very thematic. Some of the content is difficult, the very first scenario sabertooth in particular, but have only tried Friday 2 scenario so far

EXCELLENT
This is probably my favorite box expansion for Marvel Champions. Both heroes are VERY fun to play and the campaign is a blast without being too difficult. It is a more straightforward campaign than others. I would say it’s slightly more complex than Rise of Red Skull. So while that may lower replay value long term, it means it’s much easier to pick up and play. Also there is SO much variable content for Marvel Champions as a whole that replay value is never really an issue. If you are a fan of the x-men, especially the 90’s cartoon, this is a must have expansion for the game. The designers understand the characters so well that every release for this game is just fantastic.

Great Addition to My Collection!
This introduction of the X-Men to Marvel Champions has been amazing so far! Colossus and Shadowcat are very fun to play and provide a ton of support for future X-Men heroes. The villains in this box have been challenging, fun, and unique.

Makes Marvel Champions the game for me!
I always wanted to like Marvel Champions, but struggled to really enjoy any of the heroes. I guess the Avengers and that line of characters just didn’t appeal to me though because this new X-Men collection has me very excited to play again. The heroes are fun, the scenarios and villains are enjoyable and the new deck building options for X-Men themed decks are great. This expansion has made the game what I wanted from the start. Glad it’s finally here.
